Facials
As part of a cleansing or nourishing facial, or as a stand-alone service, facial massage is an essential treatment that will make a positive difference to your skin – immediately. It’s clear that it has a lot of benefits…
- It increases circulation to your facial tissue, resulting in brighter, youthful-looking skin.
- By stimulating lymphatic drainage, facial massage moves toxins out of cells and reduces swelling and puffiness.
- Prevents the forming of wrinkles: it helps to release some of that built up tension in your face muscles that are caused by daily stress.
Foreheads furrow and lines form especially between the brows and near the lip area. Gentle, routine facial massage can help relax these tight and drawn muscles, decreasing the lines that they form. - The immediate increase in oxygen flow will awaken the skin so that it can respond better to the products being used.
- Facial massage speeds up your circulation, allowing for skin to heal and repair itself a lot quicker from the damage and traumas you put it through on a daily basis.
- Pressure point massage is ideal for anyone who suffers with tension headaches or sinus problems.
- It reduces stress leaving you peaceful and relaxed.
- It adds immediate vitality to a dull complexion.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy can relieve all sorts of ailments – from physical pain, to stress and anxiety. People who choose to have regular massages will not only enjoy a relaxing hour or two of ‘me’ time, but they will see the benefits carry through the days and weeks after the appointment!
Common benefits of massage therapy include:
- Reduces Stress. A great way to unwind and de-stress. However, clients will notice themselves feeling relaxed and at ease for days and even weeks after their appointments!
- Improved Circulation. Loosening muscles and tendons allows increased blood flow throughout the body. Improving your circulation can have a number of positive effects on the rest of your body, including reduced fatigue and pain management.
- Reduce Pain. Massage therapy is great for working out problem areas like lower back pain and chronic stiffness.
- Eliminate Toxins. Stimulating the soft tissues of your body will help to release toxins through your blood and lymphatic systems.
- Improve Flexibility. Massage therapy will loosen and relax your muscles, helping your body to achieve its full range of movement potential.
- Improve Sleep. A massage will encourage relaxation and boost your mood. Going to bed with relaxed and loosened muscles promotes more restful sleep, and you’ll feel less tired in the morning!
- Enhance Immunity. Stimulation of the lymph nodes re-charges the body’s natural defence system.
- Reduce Fatigue. Massage therapy is known to boost mood and promote better quality sleep, thus making you feel more rested and less worn-out at the end of the day.
- Alleviate Depression and Anxiety. Massage therapy can help to release endorphins in your body, helping you to feel happy, energized, and at ease.
- Reduce post-surgery and post-injury swelling. A professional massage is a great way to safely deal with a sports injury or post-surgery rehabilitation.
Indian Head Massage
This wonderful scalp massage releases negative energy that can manifest as illness and disease and encourages free flow of energy throughout the body creating a feeling of wellbeing and has a number of benefits.
- Relieves migraine, headaches and back pain. Firstly working on the shoulders, upper back and neck to release those hard to get at knots. Often tension in these areas can lead to headaches and back/neck pain and dependant on your job if working at a desk and your posture isn’t great can lead to ongoing problems.
- Hair growth. This massage can stimulate hair growth as it can increase nourishment and oxygen to the hair follicles and this in turn can stimulate hair growth. If you suffer from alopecia or simply just wanting longer locks this treatment is worth trying. Although there are no guarantees quite often hair loss can be stress related so even the simple fact that you are relaxing will help.
- Increase your energy levels. By creating a feeling of wellbeing, this massage can have a powerful effect in increasing your energy levels and creating a state of homeostasis (balance).
- Loss of memory can be a common modern lifestyle problem, in many cases caused by a stressful busy lifestyle. An Indian Head massage will force you to relax, slow down and calm down. This state of mind is much more to conducive to a proactive/productive lifestyle.
- Improved sleep. Many of us suffer from insomnia and broken sleep pattern. Make a point of switching off your mobile, iPad, laptop a couple of hours before you go to bed. A monthly maintenance Indian head massage treatment will encourage you to relax and open your body to better rest. By massaging the head we encourage oxygen to the brain which will reduce anxiety and encourage deeper relaxation and state of wellbeing.
- Other conditions that Indian Head Massage can help with are eyestrain, sinus congestion, depression, anxiety and tinnitus.
A very popular treatment that doesn’t have to take up too much of your time but will benefit you greatly.
